Imogen Kelly short films

The Showgirl Spy
Baby Blue Dog Films

This film was created as a part f The Herstories series and is meant to be shown in a live contextex. It explores the duplicity of showgirls spies during WWI and WWII.
Joesphine Baker had coded messages written  in invisible ink on her sheet music, Mata Hari was executed by firing sqaud for being a double agent, and Marlene Dietrich sang to the American Troops at night but would then be on the radio to German troops during the night. Demonised or celebrated for their roles in the wars, these women weaponised their femininity and charm.
Due to its insensitive elements this film is no longer shown.

Lady Died.
 Baby Blue Dog Films

Created as a part of the Herstory series, this film explores an angry Princess of Wales seeking revenge on a media hungry London, a cold Queen of England, her cheating husband and his mistress.
Diana was open about the betrayal, her bulimia and in this film at least she gets some sense of justice.
Made with Thomas Parkinson.

Dead Kennedy

Pot Belly Films

This film is part of the Herstory series and is meant for live use only. In Herstory important female figures from our past are given 5-10 minutes to re-enact part of their tales and rework the ending.
Here we see Jacqueline Kennedy rethink that moment immediately after her husband is assasinated and she climbs over the boot of the car to ask for help.
This film was hand animated, and the sound track performed with the help of Campbel Drummond.
Music: The Carnival is Over by The Seekers and I Wanna Be Sedated by The Ramones.
